BCS Question Bank A to Z Application Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy Last updated: March 12, 2026
BD School ("we," "us," or "our") operates the BCS Question Bank A to Z mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Service.
Important Note: The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (such as name, email, phone number, or other direct identifiers) to our servers. All user inputs (e.g., study progress, notes, or preferences) remain stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain any user database or accounts on our side.
However, the App integrates third-party services for functionality, advertising, analytics, and crash reporting. These third parties may collect certain information from your device as described below.
1. Information Collection and Use
To provide core features like question banks, model tests, and performance tracking, the App relies on local device storage. No personal data is sent to us.
For ads, analytics, and error reporting, we use the following third-party services. These services may collect limited, non-personally identifiable data (or data linked to identifiers like Advertising ID) for their purposes:
- Google Play Services — Provides core device integration. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdMob — Displays advertisements. Collects data such as Advertising ID, IP address (for approximate location), device type, app interactions, and ad views/clicks to serve and personalize ads. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy (AdMob section)
- Google Analytics for Firebase — Analyzes app usage to improve features. Collects event data, device info (e.g., OS version, device model), IP address, app interactions, and approximate location. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy (Firebase section)
- Firebase Crashlytics — Reports app crashes to help us fix issues. Collects crash logs, device info (e.g., model, OS), stack traces, and identifiers like Firebase Installation ID. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy (Firebase section)
- Facebook Audience Network — Serves ads. Collects Advertising ID, device info, IP address, ad interactions, and behavioral data for targeted advertising. Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy (Audience Network section)
- Yandex Advertising Network — Displays ads. Collects IP address, device info, cookies/pixel tags, location data (approximate), and ad interaction/activity for personalization and analytics. Privacy Policy: https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/
These third parties process data under their own policies (linked above). We do not access or control the data they collect.
2. Log Data
In case of app errors or crashes, third-party services (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) automatically collect Log Data on your device. This may include:
- Device Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Device name and model
- Operating system version
- App configuration and usage time/date
- Crash details and other diagnostic statistics
This helps improve app stability. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App does not set cookies directly. However, third-party ad and analytics services (e.g., AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, Yandex) may use cookies, pixels, SDK identifiers, or similar technologies on your device to track ad performance and user interactions. You can manage these via your device settings (e.g., limit ad tracking, reset Advertising ID, or block cookies in browser if applicable).
4. Service Providers
We may engage third-party companies (listed above) to:
- Facilitate app features (e.g., ads, analytics)
- Perform crash reporting and usage analysis
- Provide support services
These providers have access only to the data needed for their tasks and are contractually bound not to use it for other purposes.
5. Data Retention and Your Choices
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no user data for us to retain or delete.
For data handled by third parties:
- You can reset your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID).
- Clear app cache/data via device settings to remove local identifiers.
- Opt out of personalized ads through device settings or third-party tools (e.g., Google Ad Settings).
- For specific requests (e.g., access or deletion via third-party providers), contact us—we will guide you.
6. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the App and any indirect data flows. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided information through a third-party service, we will take steps to remove it. Parents/guardians: Contact us if you believe your child has interacted with the App in a way that shares data.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
